Belden 8138 Multi-Conductor - Low Capacitance Computer Cable for EIA RS-232/485 8-Pair 28 AWG FHDPE SH PVC Chrome

This 28 gauge 8 pair conductor is a low capacitance cable that meets the standards of EIA which stands for Electronic Industries Alliance. It has a Datalene insulation that is made of a FHDPE or Foam High Density Polyethylene material and a PVC jacket with a Beldfoil shield. The special formulated Datalene insulation is used for computer and data transmission. It is lightweight, performs well in a large range of temperatures and is resistant to pressure. The Beldfoil shield, made of an aluminum/polyester laminate, provides a 100% coverage for protection. In addition to this shield there is a braided tinned copper shield with 65% coverage and a 28 gauge stranded tinned copper drain wire. Some applications for this cable include: RS-485, RS-232, and RS-422.
